This afternoon I got “the call” from my boss with an official offer. The wait is finally over! Or, somewhat over, or just beginning, depending on how you look at it. First my boss confused me by saying he had good new and bad news but there was never any bad news so I was waiting for the other shoe to drop for half the call before finding out there wasn’t bad news.
However, the good news was very good news. I feel that I got everything I wanted and even more so praise God for his favor and blessings!
The offer was for a promotion to Director in Japan to lead the EP commercial strategy and included a raise and increment to my bonus plan that I was not expecting. Eventually this may evolve to include the CRM business as well but we have alignment that for the first 6-12 months it will only be EP. I will report to the Japan VP and not have any direct reports.
Official paperwork is still in process with all the details of the global mobility package but I’ve seen an earlier draft and it looks very good overall. I was so happy with the offer that I could not stop smiling and pacing around. I felt like I was going to burst for the entire rest of the day. 🙂
So now, I’m waiting for the official paperwork but this wait is so much easier.
